Ocean Tours

OCEAN TOURS – (half and full day tours). All depending on weather conditions. If it is too rough on the day, an alternate tour destination will be provided.

A minimum of two people to a maximum of twelve people.

However, for the half day tours you have two main options. The first option goes from Pallarenda towards the Strand and return. And the second option goes from Pallarenda heading towards Magnetic andThen middle reef, and return. Or, if your into fishing, is do a fishing tour out to Middle Reef and the channel markers chasing reef dwellers or pelagics, or around the breakwalls for various other species (Barra, jacks, Fingermark, etc). Many fishing options. Your call.

Lures can be trolled behind the kayak to catch many different species of fish. Including the much sought after Barramundi.

Green Sea turtles are also able to be seen (at most times), on all tours.

The full day tour takes us across to Magnetic Island which is 6.5klms from Pallerenda. We launch from the Pallarenda boat ramp.The trip across will take from 75 – 120 minutes. Depending on the wind and sea conditions, and paddlers fitness.

Once at the island we then head to West Point where we have smoko.

We then head around the island towards Horseshoe Bay for lunch, a swim and explore the area. We then head home.

Fishing trolling lures across and around Magnetic Island can catch many species of fish,  including Coral Trout and the Spanish Mackerel (spaniard).

A big “Spaniard” will tow you around in the kayak giving you an adrenalin pumping tour you will never forget, as will a “G.T” (Giant trevalley), “ ’Cuda” (Barracuda), or Cobia.

During the Winter period is the time to get on a kayak to have some fun and chase the doggie mackerel. And what a better way to chase and catch pelagics,  in a kayak. You can also purchase bags of bait of whole Pilchard baits from us if you require them. ($5)
